About Data Science Toolbox:

• It is run by the Institute of Statistical Sciences,
• In the School of Mathematics,
• At the University of Bristol, UK,
• Run by Daniel Lawson, Professor in Data Science.

It is designed to teach All of Data Science to Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science students who have a varied background in coding. It does this through thorough exploration of methods applied to Complex Real-World Datasets.

Previous versions

• The current course is re-designed to focus on classification first, and to integrate the portfolio assessment into the class time.
• The 2023-25 course ran through statistics first and machine learning second.
• The 2018-23 course was designed for a Statistics take on Cyber Security.
• Each of these courses were also updated incrementally. Minor content changes can be tracked through the github repo.
